Andrew Martinez Initiated into Chi Beta Phi at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College, sophomore, Andrew Martinez was recently initiated into the honor scientific society Chi Beta Phi. Membership recognizes individual excellence and passion in any respective field of science. Chi Beta Phi became a nationally chartered organization in 1925 and has since grown to consist of more than 25 chapters.

A Patrick Henry Scholar, Andrew is a member of the social fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma. He is also on the cross country team. . A chemistry major, Andrew is a graduate of Bishop Dunne High School (Dallas,TX ) and is the son of Nancy Perez & Rudy Martinez.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally in the top 100 of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
