Brandon Long Receives Military Leadership & National Security Studies Program Certificate

Hampden-Sydney College senior, Brandon Long, was recently recognized at the Wilson Center Awards Banquet on April 11th, 2014. Each student featured was presented with a certificate for their work in the Military Leadership and National Security Studies Track. These awards recipients must have demonstrated interest in the historical, political, cultural, ethical, and legal dimensions of national security policy and the role of the military in America.

Brandon serves as Student Court Chairman and plays varsity football. He is a member of the President's Men, the social fraternity Sigma Nu, and the President's Leadership Council. A economics and business major, Brandon is a graduate of J.R. Tucker High School (Glen Allen, VA) and is the son of Anthony & Kelly Long.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally in the top 100 of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
