Cap Pritchett Initiated into Phi Beta Kappa at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College senior Christian Adam Pritchett was initiated into the honor society Phi Beta Kappa on Tuesday, April 3. Membership recognizes the highest academic achievement, moral character, responsible citizenship, and broad intellectual curiosity.

A Venable Scholar, Cap has served as Vice President of the Rugby Club and as Secretary of the social fraternity Theta Chi. He received the Rhetoric Speech Award at Final Convocation in April 2011. A history major, Cap is a graduate of Community High School and is the son of son of Gretchen Notermann of Fincastle.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the needs of young men.
