Christopher Jones Receives Military Leadership & National Security Studies Program Certificate

Hampden-Sydney College senior, Christopher Jones, was recently recognized at the Wilson Center Awards Banquet on April 11th, 2014. Each student featured was presented with a certificate for their work in the Military Leadership and National Security Studies Track. These awards recipients must have demonstrated interest in the historical, political, cultural, ethical, and legal dimensions of national security policy and the role of the military in America.

Christopher served on the Student Court and is a member of Garnet and Grey, the President's Leadership Council, the Pre-Law Society, and the social fraternity Chi Phi. He has completed summer internships with Large & Associates law firm and the Tarazona Cigar Company. A history major, Christopher is a graduate of Virginia High School (Bristol, VA) and is the son of Chris & Melissa Jones.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally in the top 100 of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
