Davis Carter Initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa

On Sunday, March 22, Hampden-Sydney College student Davis Carter was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society for college men and women. The Lambda Circle of ODK was established at Hampden-Sydney in 1924, and membership is a mark of highest distinction and honor. Selection of members is based on their influence as campus leaders to better campus life and to encourage high standards in all activities.
A Madison Scholar, Davis is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the honors scientific fraternity Chi Beta Phi, the President’s Leadership Council, the Hampden-Sydney Animal Rescue Club, and the Hampden-Sydney Mentorship Program. He has played varsity soccer for four seasons and serves as Co-Captain. He also participates in Intramural basketball, dodgeball, and indoor soccer. His work has been included in the publication of the Hampden-Sydney Journal of the Sciences. Davis is the son of Edward & Susan Carter of Charlotte, NC.
