Davis Carter Initiated into Phi Beta Kappa at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College student, Davis Carter, was recently initiated into to the honor society Phi Beta Kappa. Membership recognizes the highest academic achievement, moral character, responsible citizenship, and broad intellectual curiosity.

A Madison Scholar, Davis serves as Captain of the varsity soccer team and as a Freshman Peer Advisor. He is a member of the Animal Rescue Club and the honorary scientific fraternity Chi Beta Phi. Davis is the son of Edward & Susan Carter (Charlotte, NC).

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
