Davis Carter Receives Award at Hampden-Sydney College Final Convocation

On April 23, 2015, select Hampden-Sydney College students were recognized at Final Convocation. At this annual event, student achievements are honored and various awards are presented.

Davis Carter received the James R.T. Hewett Biology Award. This award is given to a student who is outstanding in biology, promising in research, and who has demonstrated meritorious service to the department.

He is the son of Edward & Susan Carter (Charlotte, NC).

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
