Frederick Antoine Elected to Student Senate at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College sophomore Frederick Louis Antoine was recently elected to the Student Senate. He will serve for the 2012-2013 academic year. Student self-government, first introduced at the College in 1886, has a long and respected tradition. The Student Senate transacts all student body business and has legislative jurisdiction over various phases of student campus life.

An economics major, Frederick is a graduate of Aspirations High School and is the son of Millicent E. Gregory of Queens Village.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the needs of young men.
