Joey Tritico Presents Departmental Honors Project at H-SC

2012 Apr 13

Hampden-Sydney College senior Joseph John Tritico III presented his Departmental Honors Project recently in a public lecture at the College. Joey is one of a select group of students who undertook an extended research project which culminated in a public presentation. Although the departmental honors students are undergraduates, they are expected to pursue their research project at a graduate-school level. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of the final presentation.

Joey's project, for Honors in Government, was entitled " The Philosophy of Francis Fukuyama and Samuel Huntington: A Case Study on Egypt's Sociopolitical Environment." A government major, Joey is a graduate of Forsyth Country Day School and is the son of Dr. Rocco Tritico & Dr. Elizabeth Davis of Statesville.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the needs of young men.
