Joey Tritico Receives Public Service Certificate at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College senior Joseph John Tritico III recently received the prestigious James Madison Public Service Certificate from Dr. David E. Marion, Director of the Wilson Center, and Dr. Christopher B. Howard, President of Hampden-Sydney College, on behalf of the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest. The Public Service Certificates are presented to seniors who have successfully completed a two-year concentration of classes, internship, and research and who are seriously considering careers in public service.

Joey serves as Secretary of the social fraternity Chi Phi and represented H-SC in this year's Model OAS conference in Washington. He is a member of Catholic Campus Ministry, the Pre-Law Society, the Garnet & Grey Society (admissions tour guide), the Society of '91 (leadership program), and the honor societies Pi Sigma Alpha (political science) and Eta Sigma Phi (classics). He has studied abroad in France, Turkey, and Greece and completed his summer internship at the Fulbright Commission's office in Prague. Joey, a government major, is a graduate of Forsyth Country Day School and is the son of Dr. Rocco Tritico & Dr. Elizabeth Davis of Statesville.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the needs of young men.
