Josh Chamberlin Receives Award at Hampden-Sydney Opening Convocation

On Tuesday, August 26, Josh Chamberlin received the Omicron Delta Kappa Award at Opening Convocation. This annual award is given to one or more members of the sophomore class who demonstrate real leadership during the freshman year.

The ODK award was established in 1974 to mark the 50th anniversary of the College's Lambda Circle, and it has been endowed by generous contributions from the ODK alumni.

Josh serves as a Resident Advisor and as a member of the Student Senate. He also participated in the Wilson Center's Freshman Leadership Program and is a member of the professional scientific fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma. He is the son of Jeffrey & Sherri Chamberlin (Corapeake, NC).

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally in the top 100 of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
