Joshua Gaskill Initiated into Phi Beta Kappa at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College student, Joshua Gaskill, was recently initiated into to the honor society Phi Beta Kappa. Membership recognizes the highest academic achievement, moral character, responsible citizenship, and broad intellectual curiosity.

A Patrick Henry Scholar, Joshua serves as a Latin tutor and a tutor in the Speaking Center. He is also a member of ROTC, the leadership society Omicron Delta Kappa, the honors classics society Eta Sigma Phi, and the social fraternity Theta Chi. Joshua is the son of William & Catherine Gaskill (Chesapeake, VA).

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
