Matt O'Donnell Receives Award at Hampden-Sydney College Final Convocation

On April 23, 2015, select Hampden-Sydney College students were recognized at Final Convocation. At this annual event, student achievements are honored and various awards are presented.

Matt O'Donnell received the CAC Member of the Year Award and the Jeffrey N. Friend Award. The CAC award is given to the most outstanding member of the College Activities Council, and the Jeffrey N. Friend Award is presented to the rising senior who best typifies the qualities for which Jeff Friend is remembered.

He is the son of John & Karen O'Donnell (Locust Grove, VA).

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
