Patrick Adams Elected to Phi Sigma Iota

Hampden-Sydney College junior Patrick Austin Adams was inducted on April 19 into Phi Sigma Iota, the international foreign language honor society. A Spanish major, Patrick is a graduate of Charlotte Latin School and is the son of Suzanne Adams and Austin Adams, both of Charlotte.

Founded in 1917, Phi Sigma Iota recognizes outstanding ability in the study of foreign languages and encourages advanced pursuits and individual research in this discipline.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked in the top tier of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the needs of young men.
