Rayne Delong Presents Summer Research Honors Project at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College senior Rayne Allen Delong recently presented his Summer Research Honors Project in a public presentation at the College. Rayne is one of a select group of students who undertake summer research in conjunction with members of the Hampden-Sydney faculty. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of its findings.

Rayne's project was entitled, " The Rostral Thalamic Reticular Nucleus: How Lesions to the Rostral TRN effect performance in rats on a Visual Discrimination Task." A psychology major, he is a graduate of Amherst County High School and Powhatan High School and is the son of Cheryl & Dell Delong of Amelia, previously of Amherst.
