Sasha Obradovic from Hampden-Sydney College Recognized in Collegiate Who's Who

Aleksandar Obradovic, a senior at Hampden-Sydney College, has been recognized as an outstanding campus leader in the 2014 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

A Patrick Henry Scholar, Sasha plays varsity basketball and serves as the Philanthropic Chair of the International Club. He is a member of the Garnet & Grey Society (student tour guides), the Minority Student Union, and Omicron Delta Kappa, the honorary society for leadership. A mathematical economics major, Sasha is a graduate of Hawaii Preparatory Academy and is the son of Ms. Olivera Obradovic of Belgrade.

Twenty-two students from Hampden-Sydney College were selected for this year's edition. Students are nominated by seniors, administrators, faculty, and coaches based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success. They join a select group of students from more than 2000 institutions of higher learning in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and several foreign nations. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally in the top 100 of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
