Taylor Armstrong Receives Military Leadership & National Security Studies Program Certificate

Hampden-Sydney College senior, Taylor Armstrong, was recently recognized at the Wilson Center Awards Banquet on April 11th, 2014. Each student featured was presented with a certificate for their work in the Military Leadership and National Security Studies Track. These awards recipients must have demonstrated interest in the historical, political, cultural, ethical, and legal dimensions of national security policy and the role of the military in America.

Taylor is a member of the pre-law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta and the honor history society Phi Alpha Theta. He also played rugby for two seasons. A history major, Taylor is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School (Ashland, VA) and is the son of David & Leigh Armstrong.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally in the top 100 of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
