Trey Price Receives Public Service Program Certificate

Hampden-Sydney College senior, Trey Price, was recognized at the Wilson Center Awards Banquet on April 11th, 2014 for leadership in the public interest. Each featured student must have demonstrated an interest in government and successfully taken part in the James Madison Program in Public Service. These recipients must have performed academically and participated in activities and organizations as "Good Men, Good Citizens".


A Venable Scholar, Trey serves as a Student Senate Member, a Student Court Investigator, Head Resident Advisor, President of the Pre-Law Society, Senior Member and 1st Reviewer for the Union-Philanthropic Society, Vice President of the Rotaract Club, and Treasurer of the honor history society Phi Alpha Theta. He is also a member of the Appeals Committee and the Beyond the Hill Mission. Trey has been recognized as a Presidential Fellow of the Center for the Study of Presidency and Congress; a Wilson Center Fellow; Deputy Secretary of the Fullbright Board in Prague, Czech Republic; and for the Omicron Delta Kappa Award for Service. He is also a member of the honor political science society Pi Sigma Alpha. A government major, Trey graduated from Northgate High School (Newman,GA) and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donophan C. Price II.

A private college for men, Hampden-Sydney is ranked nationally in the top 100 of liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The College is known for its liberal arts curriculum, the Honor Code which stresses individual and collective responsibility, and a focus on the education of young men.
