Yonathan Ararso Presents Summer Research Honors Project at Hampden-Sydney College

Hampden-Sydney College junior Yonathan Tarekegne Ararso recently presented his Summer Research Honors Project in a public presentation at the College. Yonathan is one of a select group of students who undertake summer research in conjunction with members of the Hampden-Sydney faculty. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of its findings.

Yonathan's project was entitled, " Characterization of B16.F1 and D5.1G4 Melanoma Tumors and Profiling Melanoma-Induced Suppression of Dendritic Cell Function." A biology and foreign affairs major, he is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School in Virginia and is the son of Mr. Tarekegne Ararso & Mrs. Elizabeth Demeke of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
